Beat (b-eat)

Beat is a nationwide organisation supporting people affected by eating disorders, their family members and friends, and campaigning on their behalf.
Our activities are designed to increase knowledge, awareness and understanding of eating disorders; to provide support, help and information to people directly affected and to increase the understanding and skills of professional staff.
Beat run a number of support services that can be helpful to both those with eating disorders as well as family, friends and professionals. They are not intended as a replacement for professional treatment but can provide a space in which people can begin to feel more comfortable talking about what they are experiencing with others who are going through similar things and who will be able to offer understanding and support. You do not need a diagnosis to access Beat's support services and they are open to people at all stages of recovery.
Beat's vision is simple: eating disorders.
