This section contains information about equipment and therapies available to meet the developmental and daily living needs of children or young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

Warrington Disability Partnership

WDP actively promote independent living by providing information on peer counselling, housing, equipment, personal assistance, transport, access, employment, education, training and other services including a showroom where equipment to assist independence is displayed, and where small items may be purchased. We are also able to introduce people to suppliers of larger pieces of equipment and to Social Services who may be able to provide the equipment needed, and also provide additional support. WDP also offer a short-term wheelchair loan service and a shopmobility service. For further information please go to the website.

The Access Social Care Team at Warrington Borough Council can provide assessments from an occupational therapist or specially trained community care worker if you are experiencing problems in several areas of daily living, or you feel you need more personal or professional advice.
