Contact a Family - North West
Contact a Family is the only national charity that exists to support the families of disabled children whatever their condition or disability.
With over 30 years of experience, our vision is that families with disabled children are empowered to live the lives they want and achieve their full potential, for themselves, for the communities they live in, and for society.
It's why we offer support, information and advice to over 340,000 families each year and campaign for families to receive a better deal.
Our Mission - Contact a Family improves the lives of all families with disabled children. With them, we transform their lives, break down barriers and tackle disadvantage through ambitious, collaborative and innovative work. We make a real and lasting impact and are a force for positive change. We believe families with disabled children deserve better and we won't stop until we have achieved our mission. We are brave and take risks in striving for what is right. We transform lives; we drive innovation and change wherever it will benefit families with disabled children. We always focus on the impact we are having. Through this we change the lives of families with disabled children. We challenge disadvantage, we tackle disadvantage wherever we find it. We help families with disabled children deal with the barriers they face each and every day, and at Contact a Family we treat all people fairly in our own work. We trust and are trusted; we always act in an open, transparent and accountable manner. We work collaboratively to achieve support, advice and information.
